Do you ever wonder how that friend of yours wakes up looking the perfect kind of tousled while you wake up looking like you’ve just been rescued after a month of being stranded on a desert island? 😂
Well now you’re going to find out exactly what you need to do to wake up looking like a Greek goddess.
And no I’m not talking about getting up an hour early to run to the bathroom to put on a full face of makeup!
Here are 8 habits of women who wake up looking beautiful.
1. They Get Enough Good Quality Sleep
This might be obvious but I’m saying it anyway because its super important to get enough sleep if you want to wake up looking good.
Sleep is important because it allows the body to repair itself. But its not just about how many hours you spend lying in bed, the quality of sleep is also important.
Women who wake up looking beautiful make sure that they get enough good quality sleep every night.
This might mean going to bed earlier, winding down before bed by meditating or reading, reducing screen time in the evening, using a sound machine, keeping the temperature of the room slightly cooler or anything else that helps you to get a good night’s sleep!😉
2. They Wash Their Pillowcase Frequently
Having clean pillowcases and sheets is really important for keeping your skin clear, no one likes waking up with a new zit on their face!
During the night oils and dirt from your face and hair get transferred to your pillowcase. This can lead to acne and other skin issues.
Women who wake up beautiful make sure to wash their pillowcases and sheets frequently.
3. They Use A Silk Pillowcase
A lesser known secret to waking up beautiful is to use a silk or satin pillowcase.
Sleeping on a silk pillowcase is much better for your skin and hair! The material reduces hair breakage and prevents your hair from getting all tangled up and frizzy so you never have to deal with bed head ever again!
When it comes to waking up with beautiful skin, the other benefit of silk and satin pillowcases is that they don’t cause the creases and lines that you sometimes wake up with on your face when using other types of pillowcase, which by the way, can actually cause wrinkle to develop over time.

This is the silk pillowcase everyone is talking about.
4. They Stay Hydrated
When we wake up in the morning our bodies are usually slightly dehydrated from not having had anything to drink for 8 or so hours. However, if we haven’t had enough water to drink during the day this dehydration can be worst.
Dehydration can cause dull looking skin, bad breath and bloodshot eyes. Women who wake up beautiful make sure to drink lots of water during the day and keep a glass of water beside their bed to drink as soon as they wake up.
5. They Practice Good Oral Hygiene
Having smelly breath is definitely not very attractive. You might think that stinky morning breath is unavoidable but that’s not true! Bad breath is cased by two main things, dehydration and poor oral hygiene.
We’ve already talked about hydration, so regarding oral hygiene, everyone brushes their teeth at night (I hope) but sometimes people don’t know that brushing your tongue and flossing is also really important for keep your breath smelling fresh.
If we don’t brush off the bacteria from our tongue it can build up and create a bad smell. Similarly, if we don’t remove all the pieces of food from between our teeth they can cause bad morning breath.
6. They Moisturize Before Bed
Women who wake up beautiful wake up with soft smooth skin. Moisturizing before going to bed is easy but will make a real difference to how you look and feel when you wake up.
Try using a rich body butter all over for extra hydration while you sleep. Also make sure to moisturize your face and lips. Waking up with dry cracked lips is definitely not cute, its nearly as bad as stinky breath!
For even more hydration sleep with a humidifier in the room. This will help your skin stay moisturized during the night and you’ll notice your skin becoming more supple over time.
7. They Prop Up Their Pillows
Do you ever wake up in the morning with a puffy face or eyes? This is caused by build up of fluid in your face.
To combat this and look your best self when you wake up in the morning slightly prop up your pillows or use two pillows. This will stop the fluid building up in your face as you sleep.
8. They Remove All Makeup Before Bed
There’s nothing more unattractive that waking up with the previous night’s makeup smudged across your face! To wake up looking your best make sure to remove your makeup and cleanse your face before going to sleep.
It can be really difficult to completely remove mascara. I can’t tell you how many times I think I’ve gotten rid of it all and then in the morning I STILL wake up with black around my eyes 🐼.
If you’re like me then keep some makeup wipes beside your bed so you can quickly wipe around your eyes as soon as you wake up.
